Then after a trip
through Aquique to find the Bridgestone no longer existed I asked at a tyre shop and
was told of a Mitchelin with a big sign up at Alto Hospicio. Up it was,
500 meters up a cliff.
Got the tyre put on the wheel and off we went again
Drove East to Pozo
Amonte and filled with water. Asked the Caribenas if the road to
Ollague and pass was open. When they saw EC they said yes. So off
East.
Camped 50m above
the road and about the same below it, in a bend of the road.
