While having breakfast it started to rain. We were in no hurry.
Joined the queue
about 9 in the sunshine. The bus took us up about 600 vertical meters
around lots of switchbacks in about 20 mins.
Big line to get in
but once inside and gained some altitude the multitudes thinned.
Fantastic vista! Impressive site. The Site is what makes Machupicchu what it is.
The queue for the bus was very long so we decide to walk down. 1 hour down to hotel. We
changed clothes then had 5 hrs to kill so went out for food and a beer.
Fell asleep on the
train back to Ollantaytambo. Climbed into EC, in the car park for the
night.
