After breakfast we took the tire cover off to a sewing shop and asked for it to be repaired. The clips had broken and the zip doesn't work. Agreed to pick it up at 4pm.

Next John went off to post a flash drive back to Aus and I went looking for a Aluminum strip to replace the broken skirt support. Met John on his way back for passport and I suggested we try my WCC (working with children card). It was sufficient ID to post parcel back to Australia.
We finally found some alloy, got it cut to length and 3 holes drilled S/10. Went with the manager of the hotel Erica to the parish office to pay for the parking S/100 for the 3 nights.

Checked out of the hotel and sat in foyer before lunch. I was getting concerned that our DHL parcel had not arrived from Australia already 20 hrs late.

Went to a grill restaurant for lunch and had steak (well a chunk of beef) pork chop and sausage for lunch. A guy came and sat at the table next to us with a big black plastic bag. He pulled out a DHL envelope and wrote it up in a book. I asked him if he had anything from Australia he said no and gave me his number. I then showed him the receipt and as soon as he saw the name Denis Attencia on it he said he had it at home. And asked if it was a “thermo with two wires” we said yes and he promptly left to get it. It cost us S/10 to receive it. Just as well as he thought it was going to Tingo Maria 2 hours north. So just as well we had lunch here today. Amazing coincidence.

To put a dampener on this, my best friend contacted me to say her youngest son and taken his life. I wish I could be there for her.

Back to the hotels foyer to await our tyre cover. Rang and woke Chris at 6am to have a chat as when we leave the hotel 3G is not very good.

Finally picked up EC and drove to pick up the tyre cover. The guy had replaced the clips put clips on where zip is and replaced the zip which we didn’t want. Anyway all good S/80.
Next a quick shop for cheese and yogurt then north.

Drove well into dusk and finally found a road out the far end of a tunnel going up. Followed it and found a little concrete pad off to the side. A tight fit but ok for the night.
