Christmas eve. Doesn't feel like Christmas at all.
In one of the towns we saw this huge turbine prop we assume from the high volume low pressure electricity plant.
We decided to drive straight to Mike and Alisons place. Alison mentioned that supermarkets may close at midday. So we stopped at a few small supermarkets to try and buy maple syrup and some chicken and brocoli, John is cooking a curry for tonight and I have offered to cook breakfast tomorrow. NO maple syrup but we managed to buy everything else we needed.

Arrived around 4pm
at Alison and Mikes house and parked EC out front. We received a warm
welcome. We had a glass of wine with nibbles while john cooked
dinner. As we tumbled into bed around 11pm we were reminded that the
fireworks would start around midnight for 10 minutes or so. They were
very noisy, I just viewed them through the window from my bed.
