At 7:30 the front door was still locked so left my washing at the
door. By the time I saw Tanya the washing was already on. Had a second
breakfast with Fedir (the same food as last night) and spent some
time with him looking at EC before he went to work.
We emptied EC’s
water tanks and refilled them as the water had some sediment in it. We left about
12:30
The lake finally,
only 2 days later than expected. A reasonably clean spot for lunch.
The other end of the lake was covered in plastic bottles and the
rubbish had been increasing as we drove north.
A man had been
fishing on the lake and as he tried to drive out his front wheel
drive Suzuki couldn’t quite make it. I walked over to tell him to
"give us 5 mins to finish lunch and we’d pull him out". No he
couldn’t wait so tried to drive below and around the track just got
further and further away from the track, we thought he may shred his
spinning tires, but no. Finally he gave up. We finished lunch and
John went to chat. We got a strap out and towed him up the slope. He
was very thankful!!!
28km before lunch and another 22 after lunch. Averaging about 20km/h, The roads have many potholes in them……
A lovely camp with views that would be beautiful if we could see through the smoke. Sat outside with a book til it got too cold. About an hour.
