We started the day by driving into a Lidal we did a big buy up of those hard to
find items, some we couldn't find so went to the next supermarket.
At
Nikopoles we stopped to look at the theater then noticed the gymnasium
and stadio. this is where they held “games“ every 4 years in the theater they had other contests in story telling, singing and playing musical instruments.
Further around the corner was the Wall so we stopped for another look and walk. The ancients could certainly build. As usual the wall we were looking at had been rebuilt by each different conqueror. This was called the Christian Wall. We wandered around inside looking a the the remains of the mosaics in the Citadel. Amazing their size 8m square and in amazingly good nick.
It is not uncommon to see people carrying rifles.

We
had chosen our camp early the light house on Lefkas island so through
the tunnel at Preveza and
on towards Lefkas. The bridge shown on the map was what looked like a
Ferry moored in place. You drove across it. But the google articles
say that it is a swing bridge.
Down
the length of the island sometimes at 80km/hr but mostly at 30km/hr. Windy road
along and above the West coast. The small villages were sometimes a
bit of a squeeze for EC but we fitted.
The
water was a beautiful turquoise color.
John still likes Greece.
Out of the villages and into the wilds. The road sealed all the way except the last 10m. A neat camp just below the light house.
