2019-02-08 Day 150 Fri

John had a call from his parents wishing him a happy Birthday. Our drive to Ancient Olympias was uneventful.

The ruins were amazing a few small parts reconstructed to give the visitor an idea of how it looked. Lots of information boards. The Temple of Zeus had the biggest diameter columns I have ever seen. A huge building with statues on the ends eve (triangle) some 20m long. They are now in the museum.

Gymnasium and running fields, the theater for music playing, all sorts of different competitions.

Heading up hill for a camp we needed to squeeze past a boulder.

We camped on the out side of a hairpin. Great views. Down over the olives, flats, town and sea.
