John did get a glance at the view but I was a bit slow
out of bed. Sun is up well before 6am, but I’m not.
On
about the 3rd of 20 switchbacks down we saw a camper and
stopped. A Dutch guy in his hilux camper. His family was joining him
for different legs. We chatted for a while then continued on our way.
Once
arriving at the valley floor we entered the park. Lots of road signs
indicating wildlife habitat, wild boar, red deer, brown beer, wild
goat, and Panther.
Lots of people were camping and or just stopped to
enjoy the surrounds, or too our amazement to feed the wild pigs.
That I think may cause some issues….. One guy was feeding a group
of striped piglets. Not sure where mum was!!
We
decided to visit Mohsed in Bojnurd this afternoon so that we did not
have to back track from Mashhad. Moshed started the overland Iran
page and likes to meet travelers.
The road was flat and fast so the
100km was 1.5 hrs. Found
Mohsad's house and his other motorcycle guests. Had a chat and cup of tea
then headed on out. One of the bikers suggested that Scandinavia is
over crowded in summer so visit in winter. Food for thought.
The
traffic is just so unordered it seems to be just push your way
through. The person with enough guts gets in first!. We tend to hang
back...
John
had found us a camp just south of town, on a hill (of course) As we
turned out of the village onto the track a group of walkers stopped
us and told us where to get water in a spring nearby and thought we
could not get up the track. A little motorbike came down from the
hill and said no problems, so up we went. A lovely little site
overlooking the lights of Bojnurd.
