The receptionist tried to buy orchestral tickets but
none available but we can try at theatre at 6pm. We walked into town
and wondered around had lunch in a up market canteen where the food
was much more interesting.
Statue of Lenin
Peasants..
Interesting concrete tiles outside of the orchestral theater.
A Church with amazing brick work.
Old timers whiling away their day playing Chess.
Back to the apartment for a rest before catching a taxi into the theatre.

The
cashier did not speak English but got the message across that there
was only one ticket. We were disappointed. John check the board for
tomorrow night, a mixture of modern music, we decided to ask for
tickets to that. However another lady showed up with English who
happened to be the administrator of the orchestra. She explained that
we could buy two tickets but one had no seat we may be sat apart. All
good we bought the two tickets one for 1500rubles (A$30) the other
1000 (A$20). She told us the orchestra had just returned from a tour
of England and it was their 50th year.
The soloist has from Moscow and fabulous. She introduced us to the usher who would help us with seats. We wondered upstairs looking at photos of the founder.
A
great concert with Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky and yes the soloist
was fantastic however do their fingers move so fast…
Finally
caught a taxi, most have no indication of being one so hard to flag.
A car stopped at the kerb side so I asked.
