2020-01-27 Day 441 Mon

Packed and checked out at 08:30 our taxi friend arrived to take us back to EC.
John left me to tidy up a bit and pump up the flat tire while he went to the port with Christos. I started the clean up. The mattress had been left standing on the floor to air and dry so I removed the junk off the bed and put mattress back on then made the bed. I then unpacked our bags and tidy up a bit. John  arrived back sooner than expected just as I was about to start the engine to pump up the tire.

Customs had gone very quickly and smoothly but once again it was said that we were unusual in getting permission to leave the vehicle in bonded storage…
Nice to be back on board but she is still in a mess. John bought some more plumbing parts then we stocked up at ALDI. Got most things we needed. Pork is certainly the most cheapest meat by a long way.

Had a quick drive along the Limassol waterfront, they have made a very inviting place with the design of the foreshore and paths. When we first drove past this digger he had all tracks under the water. I assume he is dredging a channel or just shifting sand..

We then headed back west towards the archaeology sites we had missed.
Had a quick look around the ancient town of Courion which had some rather good mosaics

 And of course the amphitheater

The occasional Pillar

 A very unusual hexagonal bath.

Then found a camp just opposite the sanctuary of Apollo down on the well warn, crumbly cliffs, overlooking the sea.

We were ready for bed at 1800hrs so watched the first of session 7 of Game of Thrones.
