Valley of the Moon : Valle de la Luna
Spectacular scenery especially from the big sand dune. We shared the Valley with two other vehicles. Morning is the best time.
Drove on one of the roughest roads ever - a salt cobblestone road out to a salt mine.
We went back into town and finally found the diesel pump hidden behind an entrance to a hostel. Had an exciting time on very narrow streets exiting town.
Headed North to Termas de Puritana with the intention of making a big circuit north and back to Calama. At the turn-off to the Termas we found the green monster truck so camped by them for the night. A wonderful much travelled German couple.
