Travel agent sent through an itinerary that was not what I
was looking for so got on the net. Finally organized a boat via Miami @ rainforestcruises.com.
Went back into travel agent and bought flight to Iquitos for Monday arvo. We may be the only passengers on the river boat “Spondias”.

With that all
organised and one and a bit days to fill in, we headed north to drive a
loop around some lakes about 100kms of driving.
We found a camp near
a lake in a new plantation of trees. We parked very carefully under a
large tree without trampling any of the smaller trees.
