Took some photos of some flowers and john drove out of camp. It was
not till later in the day that we realized that we’d left our two leveling blocks behind. There was definitely no going back on that
rough road!!
Lots of military presence and a lot of registering the vehicle and driver. We drove to the border and realized when we were across that we hadn’t been stamped out of Bolivia. The Brazilians had a quick look inside, looked at out passports then we decided to go back to San Matais and get stamped out.
We went into the
police station and found emigration 5 mins later we were stamped out
and on our way to the Aduana center. They were closed for lunch for
another 2 hours so continued out of town to a water body we had seen
on the way in and had lunch sitting outside. Tried to use the last of
out Internet but although we had signal it was not usable.
We have taken to having our hot meal at lunch time so as not to heat the interior of the vehicle anymore with the stove.
Got the vehicle stamped out. The guys looked at the compliance plates and wanted to know if we had a motor cycle inside?
Bought some fruit; pawpaw, watermelon, bananas and a red pepper . Back to the border said hi to the Brazilians who just waved us on. Got the Aduana shortly later which took 30mins then on our way to Caceres to have our passports stamped.
I asked john to stop
as I’d seen a wombat or something walk out of the water. Yes it
looks a bit wombatish but with longer legs.
Don't know what it is called yet. (Kapybaris) Saw some more spiders
