2018-01-25 Day 266 Thu

3.5ºc I walked on out ahead trying to get a little exercise. John drove past me and was letting the tyres down to low 40psi's when I caught up with him. At least I got to walk a little further. John mentioned that he could not find my phone last night or this morning.
Drove into Gobernador Costa to see if we could get a free wifi or “moviestar”. There was only a phone signal, couldn’t find any free wifi. I hunted hi and low and could not find my phone.

We stopped at a fruit and vegie shop and bought some capsicum, coriander and ginger. Asked the guy about wifi and he said none in town but then gave me his shops wifi and password. We sat outside in EC and caught up with a few emails. I noticed on muffs messenger page some Spanish. Yes was Monica from the ice cream shop saying she had my phone. I sent her a WhatsApp to her number but not sure if she got it.
When the vegie shop owner closed for siesta and walked past us we handed him a kangaroo to say thanks. Really nice of him to leave the wifi on for us.

We continued on the bitumen slowly with low pressure tyres thinking at the turnoff we’d be back on dirt was not to be, so we pumped the tyres up again.
We turned off on dirt away from our circuit to visit a lago but it had a big sign of a fly fishing lodge and gates so we continued. Let the tyre pressure down again.
Another 15km’s of slow road we got to a river with a rather small bridge. John got out to see if there was a ford nearby. A guy came over and told john where to cross. An easy crossing but then we turned the wrong way, turned back and headed towards bridge the same guy came to our rescue again. All the tracks here probably get washed away each year. Finally on the track to Lago 5; 5 more kilometers of track and we popped out on the lake(literally) stopped with 5 other cars and waited till they went home. Although we said hello there was no further interaction, people don't seem so willing to chat in Argentina, lovely quiet windy camp at the end of Lake 5.
