Awoke with a
headache and nausea, the next 110km’s on a bumpy dirt road did not help.
We filled with fuel again at Tres Lagos and used the wifi. Then sealed raod
all the way to El Chalten 120kms.
We stopped at the tourist information bureau and found out about the walks however the weather is not that good with winds forecast to 80km/hr over today and tomorrow. Not recommended to walk above tree line.
Dropped off 6kg
of washing at the “Maori” launderette. The owner is of Maori
descent but has no English
A lot of the road is only inches above the river (outlet from lake) with a small levee bank in between.
Camped once out of
the nature reserve and before the park on the gravel of the river.
Above the levee bank so should be very safe. Hopefully being in
no-mans land no-one will move us on.
