Filled with fuel again at El Calafate I asked the police if we
could cross at Paso Rio Don Guillermo they said no we could not.
At some of the cattle stops there were scarecrows guarding the sides.
It
was not far out of our way to the border so we drove there anyway and crossed at Paso Rio Don Guillermo. A nice quiet border, two buses just
leaving for Argentina. Very easy. The customs guy had a half
hearted look in the vehicle and found a few carrots. We drove north
to Torres Del Paine national park. Camp by a lake and got moved on.
So trucked on out south and turned up a road to the north and camped by a bridge with
internet.!!
