As
soon as I texted Mustafa to say we were up he was at the door
inviting us to breaky. Then he and John went up town to by sesame
bagels for breakfast. Breakfast was laid out then we bundled into the
car to take Ishane to work at the hospital, she is a nurse.
We
were blocked by some ladies laying something on the road. It was to
do with hand knotted carpets so Mustafa managed to get us an invite inside. So fantastic
to see. I even got to tie some knots, not as fast as them, one can
hardly see their hands move. They are required to tie 60,000 knots a
day. Each carpet had 4, 3 or two women knotting them. And they only make about
40 cm of carpet per day.
After
all this we ended up back at his house having breakfast at lunch
time…
We made our escape and continued our travel towards Istanbul. We now have to be in Istanbul around midday on Thursday. A day early as John needs to get a local tax file number. A big days travel on orange then yellow roads.

Drove
up another hill and into the snow but did not find a place to camp.
Trees obscured the view and we could not get off the road as there
was too much snow.
Were
heading for an ocean camp but found a spot on a dam wall just upriver
of a small village. Once the hoons left it was quiet apart from the
rush of the river on its escape from the dam.
