A lady and her daughters came by to say hello the girl “Olga” had a bit of english. We later found out the the lady was the head geologist of the park.
Donkeys
this morning appeared to be carrying kids to school.
We
shifted up to the gate of the park for john to make his phone call to
Aus. I had a quick call to JY in Tassie.
The park is 50years old this year. Must be quiet a unique site and has hosted several world geology conferences. Had a look at a room full of specimens all laid out in their age. Interesting. One of the students their with some English showed us around then we went for a walk up the road to have a better look at the hills.
Back to share lunch in the canteen.
The food was poked out a small hole in the wall. Pavlov, which is rice cooked with carrot and meat and saffron. It came out in dishes which two people, share starting with a spoon on either side. With lots of tea.
We
filled EC from a spring then headed back down the bumpy road. The
experience had been worth the slow trip in.
Now
up into the hills towards Tashkent.

At the very top found a road off and off that a track down to a nice little camp looking out over the valley and near some crackly power lines.
A farmer came past with his cattle and chatted to John for a bit. We were invited for tea the next morning. It was quiet cool so heated water.
I
rang Heatso in England just to see if they were shipping the stove as
they had not replied when I’d sent the address. Yes just awaiting
pick up.
