John said one of the guys with his oxen was already in the
paddock before sun up. The other wasn't far behind. They ploughed
yesterday, and today the bullocks pulled a plank with the guy sitting
on it probably smoothing the ground then he ploughed a few water
channels.
Just
before we left, a tourist turned up with their guide. It seems a lot
of people will hire a car and guide to do the Pamir highway.
The
occasional water hole that is not in the river is filled with boys swimming and enjoying themselves,
but no girls though.
A farmer droving his 6 goats down the road
The
road is still very rough and slow, most of the time we are down on
the rivers edge. There are more villages across the river as this
side is very steep. The mountains are visible in the back ground but
there is a haze to the air. Not sure if it is just dust. Everywhere
there is no village the ground is barren rocky and dry.
Met a group of 6 cyclists having a rest in a nice shady spot.
