The
camped truck did not leave till about 0900.
Two
trucks came past in what looked like a race but maybe they were just
staying out of each others dust. They had the same logo.
Although
we are following a white road on our map it doesn’t mean there is a
road. Sometimes we can be a few km’s from said road. One just chooses
a good looking track heading in the right direction and hope that it does
not turn the wrong way.
This
track is the first we have seen with some road works. Initially we
came across the occasional culvert but was often smoother to drive
through the dried mud.
The
road works progressed but more often than not the side tracks were
smoother than the road.
A coal carrying truck with 5 doors down it's length
Camels are smarter then emus and alpaca's they only ran in front of us for a few minutes.
Arriving
in Tsogttsetsii which is a coal mining town. One of the largest coking and thermal coal deposit.
We found my phone sim place. A
lady came into help with translation. Although I have 20GB of data I
cannot share and they only supply another sim where I can share 1GB with other devices, so no
good.
I
went downstairs to Entel and after a bit of time they supplied me a sim
with 10GB that i can share for about $10.
We
could not find the water station so left town to camp close enough for
internet but far enough from the mines and trucks.
We failed,
as the trucks still flew by down the bottom of the hill with the occasional
one coming up past us.
