A
couple of pigs came down to the foreshore to scavenge for food.
Explored
Poti a bit and found a supermarket for a few bits and pieces.
The
plan is to loop up around Mestia if the road is open. It is orange to
Mesti and then yellow onwards.
A
great monument a bit different than just a statue.
The
everyday animals on the road to keep one on their toes.
Cows
Pigs
Ducks
In
Zugdidi they had a great avenue of trees down the centre of the road
with as usual the guys hanging around in groups.
We
stopped to look at the virgin Mary church, Dadiani Palaces Museum and
the botanical gardens. The museum was closed but the palace and
grounds was worth a quick walk around. Also we could not enter the
botanical gardens from this side.
Next
we saw a truck that had put it’s wheels in the table drain!!!
On
up the mountain. We stopped to have a look at the Enguri Dam wall.
The second or third ( depends which website one reads) highest curved
wall dam in the world at 271.5m. Pretty impressive.
By
now we were looking for a camp the first couple of places we explored
did not give us a view of the lake. Finally camped on the old road
outside of the new tunnel.
