We
left after 11:00 and headed up into the hills with the thought of
visiting the customs warehouse tomorrow when Chritos was back at
work. Still rain falling every now and again.
We
headed up to an over a pass of 1140m and started to think of our
tummies.
Lots
of terraces, some in better condition that others, The bush vines
were on very steep rocky ground.
John
directed me down into a village to a restaurant. Lots of parked cars
and narrow streets. Yes the restaurant would find us a table
outside. Full of parents kids and grandparents all in for a boxing
day smorgasbord.
Wow
a good spread. Roast lamb pork and chicken and a lamb casserole which
was divine. The pottery flagon held good wine the best we’d had for
a while. Oh and some desert and Greek coffee John wasn’t too keen
but I like it.
John
went to get the vehicle as I paid and bought a 4 litre drum of wine.
The waiter saw the truck so I talked to him about it then gave him a
kangaroo. We ended up with a free bottle of wine. All up €52
It
was now after 4 that couple of hours past very quickly.
John found us a camp with 30mins beside a dam wall. The road was busier than we had anticipated….
