2020-02-13 Day 459 Thu

The little fish boat came past.

Lovely old olive trees and red poppies underneath.

A fast drive to Kusadasi where we had lunch on the foreshore. A windy cold day. I only have recollections of the names of these places. 40 years on they are not recognisable.

From here just 7 km from our track south early march 2019 we head back inland to Demirci

Haven't seen a sheep in the boot for a while…

We headed up into the hills. Here there were olive trees everywhere and they were picking olives.

With their sheets spread under the tree to catch the olives.
 Depot for freshly picked olives

It was a nice road we travelled passing through small villages In one there was a funeral and there were men everywhere. Only saw a few women. But guys in taverns walking up from the graveyard and everywhere in between, Cars blocked the street and was just mayhem.

A lady with her donkey and load of twigs.

Followed this travelling salesman for a while surprised he doesn’t loose stuff while driving.

Came through an area that had a lot of dairy cows in sheds. We have noticed little milk tankers as well. Small trucks with 4-5 round stainless tanks sitting sideways across the vehicle.

 A big area for grapes.

Has a bit of trouble with the camp and ended up between two roads on dusk. As john got out of the car he heard the back right tire deflating. We got the jack under her so were at least level for the night.

We assumed that the leak we have had for a month just got a lot worse.
