Into Sofia there is only one road and the toll camera was
cut down a week ago so no worries there.
In Sofia I finally had my nail polish removed.
They didn’t know the SNS nails so just ground them off. Took a long
time one of my nails to one hand of the other lady. Got
new ones put on should still last 3-4 weeks so lets see. 35 Leva about AU$30
We
asked Sam to plot a route with no tolls. She took us on a wild goose
chase but most of the way there was no Vignette signs so all good.
There did seem to be quiet a few traffic police out and about. One
small white road did have the vignette sign but no other way to go so just crossed fingers
We
made it to the bottom of the mountain pass and saw the no through road
sign. We ignored it as there was lots of wheel tracks.
Up we went to
the summit but the road we wanted to camp on was deep under snow. We back
tracked down to a small clearing by the creek. A little bit tight to
turn but a nice little spot, hidden from the road, by a few old sheds.
