Woke to a wet gray morning. Took in the washing, rung it again, and hung what we could inside. Although the roads were wet they were not slippery.
In Miranda we filled with fuel and water then sat at the supermarket and replied to some emails. By about 11am we figured the supermarket would not open.
Bought a roast chook from a small shop and eyed off the roast beef and sausages cooking in a big BBQ oven thing on the footpath.
As john was driving
out of town, a horse cantered out of a side street saw EC, attempted
to turn on the concrete, and slid to next base, which unfortunately
looked like being under the EC. John had scarcely time to swerve but
somehow missed all the legs. In my mirror I saw the horse cantering
away up the street……. Never know what comes at you next.
Stopped on the side of road for some quinoa and roast chook lunch. Upset my tum a little.
At Bodoquena the
dirt started and yes just a narrow white road but did carry quite a
bit of traffic. Slow going though.
Drove a up fenced
lane and parked near a gateway in the fog for the night.
