Left just after 7am for our drive into Tumuco and Kaufmann. Managed to
draw new lines on the map and only had to retrace our previous path
for a short distance. Arrive at 5min to 9am which was great as last time
we arrived at to 8am our clocks had been on the wrong time.
Handed over the vehicle and list (new mudflaps, repair tyre, leaky transmission and service) and sat upstairs using their internet to upload photos and update our phones and computers.
About 5pm Kaufmann informed us that the vehicle would be ready tomorrow at 3pm We could stay in the vehicle if we wanted. We decided on a hotel to celebrate our 23rd anniversary in a couple of days time. I booked a hotel and John packed a bag and we ubered into town.
A nice hot shower
with lots of water!! We did a lap around the main square and saw
nothing much in the way of eating places. We asked back at the hotel
and were directed to one. I ordered a Pisco sour but were told they
serve them upstiars so up we went to a more relaxed seating
environment.
I had 2 pisco sours,
one came on the house and a pizza and john had a beer and meat and
cheese folding thingy.
