Well
so much for our early police man - he just didn’t tell the others….
We had a car come by and wake us up at about 11:40 John go up and spoke to him. He was OK with us being there. 20 mins later ... yep another cop. John just indicated he was number 3 and he left…..
John
found this snail it was about the size of an egg. We have seen many empty shells
Just
as we had packed up to leave at about 11:00 the initial cop came back.
Not sure why he came back maybe for a friendly visit. Anyway we
followed him down to the village where we turned off to look at the harbor break wall.
Lots of picnic tables would have been an OK camp too.
Grabbed
some water to soak our clothes in. Wash time again.
We
are noticing some wooden buildings most are derelict but the
occasional one is still lived in.
The roofs were of flat stone shingles
Turned
off early for the point and were on a dirt road one section was a bit
slippery but in 4x4 John could get her out of small ruts. So that is
better than the old tires.
When we arrived at the coast there was someone’s unfinished dream…..
The
two greens that are common here at this time of the year.
Quite
a few sheep and lots of rubbish. Not sure if it has washed down the
river or floated over on the Black Sea.
Raining
again, but no wind.
Arrived
out at the lighthouse at the most northern tip of Turkey then dove
back the way we came for 1 km to a camp site,
Washed
the clothes and hung them in the shower. Although not much in the way
of population near-by we still heard the call to prayers.
