I felt a little better but not shining. A lazy morning then
John drove to another camp site near the river.
We stopped to buy a round of bread.
John got shown how they stick the bread to the inner walls of the oven to
cook. Some lads outside were selling watermelons from the bus shelter.
The guy gave us one and would not let us pay. Another of the lads picked
some apricots off the tree by standing on the rock wall. Really friendly
and nice.
We drove through a small village to the bridge. It was difficult to find the road which led to the bridge. The bridge did not really have a road off the far side just a track.
It took a while to find, but
found a nice grassy verge then sat outside with books and chairs. To
be shortly interrupted when a heard of cows surrounded us to cross onto the
island.
The poor cow herder boy got such a shock when he saw John
sitting in the shade of the awning.
Very
hot and the river was very cold and fast flowing.
