An old dump truck came to the river crossing. There was a big drop off into the water which the guys wanted to smooth out but they
broke their shovel. John lent him ours while fixing theirs. They did
not really want to give the shovel back and wanted to keep it for the
day but we were moving on...
Presidential propaganda. The posters show him in many roles. Picking grapes, in a field of poppys with ceremonial dress, opening buildings, holding melons, with military uniform etc..
Back the way we had come and into town. We struggled to
get into town as all the roads were having maintenance done and were all blocked. Finally after
a couple of set backs went along way north and around.
First
post office didn't exist the second one did. John got the paperwork
sent finally.
He noticed we were parked outside a supermarket so had
a big buy up. Then got some more money out of an ATM and finally escaped out of town.
Quite
a pretty drive but very little space to get off the road for a camp. Circled
out into one village but the track to the hill top was not visible so headed back to the road.

Just
before crossing to the other side of the river we noticed a road and a
bee truck parked above the water so went around and found a lovely
camp overlooking the large riverbed.
John
put the water melon to cool in the river.
