After a big late breakfast we settle at the table for
more time sorting photos. Somehow it seems in two days I can get a
week behind!!!
As they were re-inserting the seat they noticed that the cab is all cracked around the
bolt holding the seat in place… some instant steel and hopefully
it’ll be stronger.
Drove
through all the traffic again and found the supermarket that Jane had
recommended. Could of bought heaps of goodies but pretty much stuck
to those things we have had on our list forever, i.e. coconut milk
,and vanilla essence, Pork chops...
We
continued on out of the city looking for a camp as it was nearly 8pm.
Found a track off into a pine Forrest so entered and found a nice
treed camp. Nice to stop. A cold roast chook with tomato, cheese and
carrot. Into bed by midnight!

Just
after checking out and settling downstairs in the lounge Jane texted
to say they’d pick us up in 30minutes. They were early. Met Jane at
the lifts and down we went to the car.
I asked again for an address of a shoe repairer or somewhere to get the
seat fixed and if they had old inner tubes. They found a strong orange
“canvas” bag. Then the engineer was going to take us to get a sling
made but just before getting to his car Jane's boss rolled up and we got
in with him. once again headed into town. Found the sewing machine but
the job was too hard for the guy so Jane's boss borrowed scissors and
proceeded in making the sling. Paid the 200₽ AU$5 and back to the
workshop. I had plans of just driving away, but no, they had the seat
out at the ready. 30 Mins and 8 guys and the sling was back under the
seat….
