We tried 2 or 3 Liberty banks but to no avail, they just
could not seem to sell us insurance. Finally made our way back into
the port there the lady told us that our vehicle was not registered
on their system, so we should buy it online. Strange we are not registered as we
were before I think. At least we bought insurance but maybe they did
it manually.

Meanwhile John was chatting to a guy who is
struggling to find work. His mother has an Azerbaijan passport while
he has a UN passport. He is a stateless person. They are trying to get to Turkey but have no money.

gave some little local currency and our bag of goodies that we have
horded for ages….

We
passed this avenue of gums 2 times today while trying to buy
insurance. Nice to see gums again.
From the
port we took the interesting route through the hills, villages small
roads with an inaccurate map. However we did find our way through.
Camped by the river only some 18km SE of the port.
