2019-11-13 Day 390 Wed

We have slowed down a notch as we have plenty of time to get to Cyprus

Had a fantastic drive up to a high pass. The road was not well used but interesting with fantastic views, and some switchbacks.
At a water point with tap we fitted our hose and filled both tanks. While John finished the filling I walked on a little.
A lovely warm autumn day.

The persimmon trees laden with fruit.

Great strong  gutters in the middle of the road

The houses were sturdily built from stone with these high wooden storage “houses”

By the time we were closing with the pass at 2200m dusk was settling upon us.

The road became covered in snow and the pass looked to be closed in by hills. We backed back to the large flat area and camped at 2180m altitude in the snow, and by a small hut and water trough.
