While
on the computers John noticed a hiker walk past. About one hour later
another two did. We got to chat with these. A local guide and a
Turkish guy. They walk and stay in houses so they don't need to carry
much.
Some wonderful
spots for houses with the blue med in the background
We
made it to Oludeniz just south of Fethiye.
We walked up the
hill to try and retake a photo similar to one Jeff took of me
38 years ago.
A
pine tree was in our way for a proper placement but you get the
idea.
At
Dalyan we took this little ferry across the river. That part of our
detour worked wonderfully however the next step did not.
First we
missed our turn and had to back track. Then once we did 13 km on a
slow rough road we got turned back at the army post. It was on the
map but a track by-passed, but we were not allowed on that either.
With
feelings of not achieving many miles we drove up a hill to a radio
tower. An amazing number of bee boxes lined the road in places as it
was the only flat land...
The views were great but they had fenced off
all the flat land at the top for the aerials.

So back down a ways then we followed a faint track
and parked among the pines for the night.
